Wedding Day Tips

Makeup Tips

  • Allow for 1hr to apply your makeup on the day (but practice a lot before the day so you feel confident)
  • Apply your makeup in natural light
  • Moisturize your skin well before applying your makeup
  • Use a magnifying mirror when applying your makeup
  • Use a yellow toned foundation to hide any redness especially around the nose and mouth and avoid SPF foundation, for flash photography, as the SPF in the foundation reflects light
  • Emphasize your eyes by concealing any dark rings under your eyes
  • Blend foundation and concealer well especially around the eyes as cameras will pick up any visible makeup lines
  • Set your foundation and concealer with a light dusting of sheer loose powder
  • Make sure your face and neck/chest are matching. You may need to dust some bronzing powder on your neck and chest
  • Don’t use neutral, brown or pale lip colors as they will look washed out on photos
  • Define your brows with a soft matte shadow. Two shades darker for blond hair and a shade lighter for darker hair
  • Use water-proof eyeliner and mascara
  • Use a eyelash curler before applying your mascara
